Our Trier was founded by the Romans as Augusta Treverorum and still has some well-preserved Roman monuments. In the old town of Trier, you can visit the Porta Nigra (directly at the Tourist Information), the Imperial Baths, the Church of Our Lady,
A Roman amphitheatre, our national museum, the cattle market with the thermal baths or the cathedral invite you to a variety of discoveries.
The beautiful pedestrian zone of the old town of Trier invites you to go shopping. There are nice restaurants and cafés to take a break and enjoy a drink or a meal in the fourth largest city of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Luxembourg
Luxembourg is only 40 kilometres away by car, but our neighbour is also easily accessible by bus and train. The capital Luxembourg is worth a visit. Don’t miss the Müllertal or a view from the castle Vianden in the very north.
Hiking and cycling around …
Many great hiking trails (dream loops) with different degrees of difficulty and duration are in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. The very well-developed Moselle cycle path begins after about one kilometer.
